Mme. Alfred Carriere and today's roses 17th May '24.

As it is a nice day and the forecast for the next two days is a bit 'iffy' I thought I'd take a quick look at what roses are out today. The Pilgrim, David Austin Rose, where I started the video never sees direct sunlshine - North facing aspect. Interesting too is that David Austin didn't care much for Altissimo. He said it was, but a little artificial in appearance'. in his marvellous book - The Rose. I like Altissimo very much although it has no scent. There again, I like all my roses. I'm very lucky to have them.
