Exploring Madrid During Summer 2023

Madrid is the capital and most populous city of Spain. The city has about 3.4 million inhabitants and a metropolitan area population of approximately 6.7 million. It is the second-largest city in the European Union (EU), and its monocentric metropolitan area is the second-largest in the EU. It has excellent art museums, phenomenal food, enormous parks and Europe’s largest palace, but its inclusive atmosphere is what really makes the city soar. This is a city with a rich history, gorgeous architecture, world-class shopping, and a vibrant nightlife. It's a European capital filled with fine art, excellent wine, delicious tapas, and the kinds of impromptu street performances memories are made of. Madrid is a college town that's home to not one but two world famous football clubs — Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid. It is the world capital of bullfighting, which takes place from March through October. And while it doesn't boast beaches like Barcelona, Madrid offers plenty to do. The city also houses the headquarters of the UN's World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), the Ibero-American General Secretariat (SEGIB), the Organization of Ibero-American States (OEI), and the Public Interest Oversight Board (PIOB). In this video I introduce you all to El Retiro Park, visited the renowned El Prado Museum, ate a bunch of tapas (and drank too much beer) at the world famous San Miguel Market, explored Madrid's public transportation system (subway and bus) like a local, and concluded the day by dancing the night away at a salsa club called Azúcar (sugar in Spanish). I gotta tell you that I could've added so much more to this video because there's so much to see and do in Madrid, and it is not possible to put it all in one video.
