Breeding Neon Tetra with Old Water.

Hi Everybody! It's been a long time! I'm breeding neon tetras again this time. I originally had a tank with 100% new tap water for breeding cardinal tetras, but the breeding didn't go well. So I decided to try breeding neon tetras in a community tank using the old tank water instead of new water. I caught some male and female neon tetras at night and put them in an isolation box with water lilies. The next day, I found fish eggs in the box and collected them to hatch in clean water. Many of the eggs turned white, but some hatched successfully. I learned that old water can still be used to breed neon tetras as long as the eggs are collected and hatched in clean water. This method can help prevent the discomfort or death of breeding fish that are not used to 100% new water and can help them start breeding more quickly.I plan to try breeding cardinal tetras in this way also next time.
