In this episode, we leave our overnight stay at Hastings Village Marina on Rice Lake and move farther south and east through the Trent Severn Waterway. It was yet another hot and sunny day of cruising, with the summer sun only getting hotter as the day moved on! All that heat made for a tiring day, but the reward was worth it, as we enjoyed a lovely stop and overnight stay at a quiet and out for the way Lock #8, Percy Reach. As much as we enjoyed the entire trip, this place holds a special place in my mind. Not exactly sure why, but just felt so right - and provided great inspiration for our future boating travels and adventures.
