An amazing person gifted me a Monstera albo prop a few months ago. For the most part it’s been focusing on rooting but in the past two weeks it’s been putting its energy into this little leaf! Monstera albos are considered a “rare” house plant to many, but I want to offer an alternative perspective on these beauties. I think they’re merely gatekept and expensive. In other words, an inaccessible plant. It’s hard for me to believe these are rare when I see “rare” plant collectors and sellers with about 20 each. Find a group of houseplant homies that want to share their love of plants with you and propagate as many of your most desirable plants and trade/gift!
