The 455 Pontiac LeMans FINALLY makes a pass! It goes, hilariously bad!

On our first trip to National Trails with the 455 Pontiac powered 1970 Pontiac LeMans we were thwarted in our efforts to make a pass and see just what this thing will do RIGHT NOW as it sits. But we are back again and determined this time to make at least one pass, which we finally did! So how did it go? Well, let's just say not exactly great. In fact it really went rather hilariously bad and more than a tiny bit embarrassing but we're honest about things around here and will show you all the good/bad/ugly as it comes. The real good news of this outing and I guess you call it drag racing is we have a "base line" in which to work from and improve. We certainly can't get much worse than this! This car is NOT a race car, it was never meant to be a race car, it will never BE a race car. Yes it has a big bad rather nasty Pontiac V8 under the hood but it's set up and used as a cruiser street car. Which means while it's comfortable and sounds great, it's rather terrible about doing race car things. But having made these passes, and learned what we learned about it, maybe a few upgrades are in store for it to make it just a LITTLE more fun? Stay tuned!
