7 Major Scales- Beginners Ukulele Lesson w/ pdf TAB

If you get value out of the channel and want to support my work and tutorials, here are two greatly appreciated ways to do that: https://www.paypal.me/ukewithsmitty https://www.buymeacoffee.com/stephenpsm2 How do you get better at soloing and improvising on the ukulele? The answer is learning scales for each key! Once you learn the scales, you can play the right notes that sound great in any key. This lesson goes through scale positions in 7 major keys A,B,C,D,E,F,G (no flats). Learning them opens up a whole new world of possibilities to be able to play and jam in any key! As a quick note, there are many scales and scale positions. These are the first basic position for the 7 major keys. (Each key has 5 scale positions on the ukulele). There are also pentatonic scales, minor scales, blues scales, etc. This is only the beginning and most basic positions to open up scales to a beginner ukulele player! Download the free PDF with all the scales in the video here: https://ukewithsmitty.wordpress.com/2... Another way you can help support the channel is by purchasing something with one of these recommended Amazon affiliate links where I make a small percent of the purchase. These aren't random, they're all ukulele accessories I have tried and HIGHLY recommend. To get and stay in tune, a clip-on tuner is a huge help: https://amzn.to/3vA3TBr As far as string recommendations, there are a LOT of factors...but here's my quick and dirty recommendation that works a lot more often than not (and is what I personally use on my ukes): If it's an entry level laminate wood ukulele, a set of Aquila nylguts will sound great: For a soprano: https://amzn.to/3zTe7zm For a concert: https://amzn.to/3Sp6EiT For a tenor: https://amzn.to/3Sl1swm If it's a higher end solid wood uke, Martin fluorocarbons will sound amazing: For a soprano or concert: https://amzn.to/3PXT8AW For a tenor: https://amzn.to/3BCumlv This is a very high quality ukulele capo and the one I use: https://amzn.to/3Smlqqx When changing strings, one of these string winder/cutters help make the job a lot easier: https://amzn.to/3OVsSFW Ukulele learning resources: Ukulele for Dummies (great book PACKED with excellent instructions and songs to learn): https://amzn.to/3SlE0Po Ukulele Aerobics (more of an intermediate level and above book, but the exercises are second to none): https://amzn.to/3zSzBMR Recommended ukuleles for beginners: Enya Nova U concert size: https://amzn.to/3vx2oDR Kala Satin Mahogany concert size: https://amzn.to/3bsZbP6 Aklot Mahogany Concert: https://amzn.to/3Qf2o3n This is a beautiful and solidly constructed wall hanger for putting your uke on display: https://amzn.to/3QcoyU3 If you live in a place that consistently gets drier than 40% humidity and you have a nice solid wood uke, you might want to use a humidifier. These are the two best I've tried: https://amzn.to/3bqHQGp https://amzn.to/3zTDoJS --------------------------------------------------------- Here's my Reddit account where I post songs I'm noodling around with:   / ukewithsmitty   And here's my site with all my free tabs, song sheets, chord diagrams, etc.: https://ukewithsmitty.wordpress.com/
