"There You Are" is inspired by this simple fact: sancification is a process. When we are born, we are inherently sinful. We have an insatiable desire to fill the hole in our hearts without knowing what actually fits in there. We try everything under the sun, yet it doesn't satisfy and seems to make us more and more miserable. What I have found is that Jesus is the only one who can fill me. And when I accepted Christ, my eyes were opened to my sinful life. I learned, through reading the Bible, what I was meant to be as a christian. To be a Christian is to be a "little christ" ! But transitioning from a life approved by the world to a Jesus is no easy feat! Our sanctification is a process, and we may slip and fall in the progress but there is mercy for us.The righteous may fall 7 times but they get back up (Proverbs 24:16)! When we accepted Christ as our risen king and savior, we were wiped clean of our sins and mistakes and can now live in eternity with Him forever! So no matter if you slip or not in your intentional walk with Christ, you are still saved and loved by Jesus. The lyrics "you were the only one worthy of casting that stone" is based on John 8: " but Jesus went to the Mount of Olives. At dawn he appeared again in the temple courts, where all the people gathered around him, and he sat down to teach them. The teachers of the law and the Pharisees brought in a woman caught in adultery. They made her stand before the group and said to Jesus, “Teacher, this woman was caught in the act of adultery. In the Law Moses commanded us to stone such women. Now what do you say?” They were using this question as a trap, in order to have a basis for accusing him. But Jesus bent down and started to write on the ground with his finger. When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, “Let any one of you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her.” Again he stooped down and wrote on the ground. At this, those who heard began to go away one at a time, the older ones first, until only Jesus was left, with the woman still standing there. Jesus straightened up and asked her, “Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?” “No one, sir,” she said. “Then neither do I condemn you,” Jesus declared. “Go now and leave your life of sin.”"
