This song, renders beautifully, a Sufi poem in Sindhi Language by the famous poet Shah Latif, was a noted Sindhi Sufi scholar, mystic, saint, and poet, widely considered to be the greatest Muslim poet of the Sindhi language. The song is composed in Raag Malahar and is set to Kalwada Taal, which is a 5 beat cycle. This song tells the story of a girl, who has no wish to enjoy the materialistic world, and instead wants to follow the footsteps of a Swamiji, and wants to become an ascetic like him. This song beautifully blends the aroma of Hinduism and Islamic forms of worship.
