In 1963, she made her acting debut in the Tamil film Idhu Sathiyam. Malini first acted in a main role in Sapno Ka Saudagar, and went on to feature in numerous Bollywood films, primarily as the lead actress Hema Malini started her career in flims with her first film in a Tamil film followed by her first Hindi film ' Sapnon Ka Saudagar in 1968. In 1970, she was promoted as the Dream Girl for the film with the same name. She has played both comic and dramatic roles with the same ease. And over the years between 1968 till date has acted in over 150 films. In most of her films she has starred opposite to her husband Dharmendra, and gave some hit films with Rajesh Khanna and Dev Anand as well. Hema Malini besides doing the lead roles in some of the most popular Hindi films also did quite a few supporting roles and is remembered for her performance.
