To draw the characteristic curve of a Tunnel diode
In this experiment we will discuss the procedure of drawing a characteristic curve, i. e., the I-V characteristic of a tunnel diode. Here we will use a very simple circuit to bias a tunnel diode in forward bias and with the help of a ten turn potentiometer we will change the current flowing through the tunnel diode and note the voltages across the diode and then draw an I vs V curve. From the curve we will determine the valley voltage and valley current.
