Hi Everyone Welcome back to another video, and what a special day it was, specifically for Dave Ostle and Dave Glenn Hewitt. This adventure saw the both of them complete their round of the 116 Wainwright 'Outlying Fell's. Also joining us for the day was Andrew Foster and Billy aka 'The Rock Star' and Butchy and his wife Mel from Butchy Boys Adventures, and also Mary, Derick and Paul On a murky November morning we set off in to the fells and soon we reached our first summit of the day, White Hall Knott, with it's magnificent views of Black Combe and White Combe and out to the Irish Sea. We then re-traced our steps back to the main path up to White Combe. Unfortunately little did we know this was to be our last views of the day for a few ours as the clouds quickly moved in. So after a brief stop to touch the cairn we set of on our way in to the mist to bag our third hill of the day, Stoupdale Head, marked by a very small pile of stones in the mist. Again after another short stop, it was time to don the waterproof jacket and head to the main event of the day, Black Combe and the lads final Wainwright outlyer. Unfortunately there were no views again but it was here where we all got together, huddled in the shelter around the trig point to have a well deserved sandwich and a cup of tea. After a good break, the packs were back on the backs and as we descended off Balck Combe we headed south a few hundred yards to bag Black Combe's 'South Top' which is another Birkett so well worth doing. From here, it was the short but steep descent over Sty Knotts down to the main path and back to the start. All in all a great 7 mile walk with some great people. Please make sure you go and subscribe to all their channels. If you would like to follow in our footsteps then below is a link to the route in OS maps. https://explore.osmaps.com/route/2399... I hope you enjoy the short video and all it leaves me to say is see you on the next Adventure All the best
