By the traditional definition, SIP facility allows an investor to invest a fixed amount of money at user defined intervals in the selected financial instrument. Many of us already have this enabled for our mutual fund schemes. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- How to place SIP on Dhan? You can now invest in this on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. All SIPs will get triggered at 10 AM. Step 1: Go to orders and click on SIP. Step 2: Click on start new SIP on the top right side. Step 3: Enter the stock or ETF you want to start your SIP in. Step 4: Lets say I have Federal Bank and click on it now I'll enter quantities, and then will select the SIP type monthly weekly or daily. Step5: If its monthly I'll choose the date of the month when the SIP will get triggered uniformly. Step 6: Then I'll click on set stock SIP and its ready! Now in this orders section you will be able to edit, delete or trigger the SIP as required by you. Another important point that you can note here is that when you go to portfolio and check your overall holdings, you'll notice the quantity shown in front of XYZ stock as XX but if you click on SIPs you'll see the quantity as X.
