She's taking her experience dealing with sexism on the job and making new policies to protect her employees is using her position of power to protect others from the sexual harassment she faced over her 30 year career. At 27, Adrienne Bennett was the first woman to complete a plumbing apprenticeship program in the state of Michigan. Bennett says she faced bullying and harassment from her male peers during the 5-year training program. Bennett said she decided to fight back against the harassment after an incident with a male coworker After passing an exam and logging the required 4,000 hours of experience, Bennett became a licensed master plumber at age 30 in 1987.
