51N Collective brings you this funky, eclectic mix of rhythms and grooves from our friend Jan Carlos of Polydub Soundsystem Jan bring his extensive musical knoweldge and experience to the decks for this set, exploring new remote voices in dub and soundsystem music and drawing on influences from all over the world - tying them all together with style and flare. Laid back, deep grooves and driving beats carry funky melodies, clave rhtyhms and dub fuelled bass tones that will get you up and steppin to the varied vibes throughout. Combine this with pounding techno drive that keeps things building, grimy ragga vocals and syncopated percussive elements throughout - this set takes you on a journey that you won't want to end! As one half of the Polydub Sounsytem, and part of our North London warehouse community, Jan Carlos can be found DJing at warehouse parties, local venues and events throughout the area.
