Stealth Locomotive: BLI NYC GP35 Decoder and Details

I decided to try one of the new Stealth locos from Broadway Limited. I certainly do not need this unit, but I wanted to try it. (Do any of us really NEED model railroading stuff??) Let's face it, if you get one of these you are planning to uncork it so you can add a DCC decoder. So I show what I did in that area, in my usual rambling way. (This is a long video...) I added an ESU LokSound 58429 DCC/Sound decoder. The unit comes with a 21 pin motherboard and a speaker, so all you really need to do is add a 21 pin decoder. I thought about adding a stay alive device, but can't find the room for one. I babble on about what I did, show some installation differences between the ESU, TCS, and Soundtraxx decoders, discuss the BLI light settings/decoder Aux settings, and show the unit running with the ESU decoder installed. I also added some details, despite BLI indicating that the unit had "road specific details". I found this to be untrue, as the unit was missing the front truck ATS shoe and the short hood ATS motor-generator. These are both glaring examples of road specific details - for the NYC- that should have been included. I added them both, using Custom Finishing details. Despite this, the model is very nice overall. I have not investigated other roads, so I can't properly speak to those units.
