Hi All!...Our new project will be using a Dollar Store Book and altering it using Gelli Printing and Collage to create a beautiful and unique "Book As Art" piece! We'll do this project over the next several months, I'll share many of my techniques from more than 30 years of bookbinding both professionally, teaching at the Corcoran School of Art and the Smithsonian as well as exhibiting my works in many collections and exhibitions. The Altered book has been there from the beginning of the Book Arts movement and remains an impressive structure to use for painting, printmaking an collage.
