We love the American-made Ford, especially the F150 Truck. We painted this fender in-house for our local customer who wanted to replace his panels. TOOLS NEEDED: You will need a 10mm socket with a socket wrench and 7/32 socket for the smaller screws. You will also need a panel clip removal too for the plastic clips but you can also use a flat-head screwdriver as well. PROCESS: This is only the removal process and not the installation. Please check out the install video at the end of this one. This can be a pretty long process but it's not a difficult one. First, we have to remove the fender flare. Regardless of it being broken or not, the fender cannot be removed if you don't take off the fender flare. There are two 10mm bolts at the front of the flare and the rest of it has plastic pins that can be removed with your panel removal trim tool. Finally, the flare snaps into the fender itself, so you have to pry it out with a panel removal tool. Now we can begin work on the fender itself. We removed the bolts on the bottom of the fender closest to the door. The last bottom bolt is hidden behind a plastic trim. We then rolled the fender liner back and unplugged the sensor. Be careful not to pull the fender off before unplugging the sensor. There is also a hidden bolt behind the fender liner covered in foam adhesion. You can fit a socket in there to remove it, but you may also have to cut it a little bit to get the bolt out. We then make our way up and removed the bolts near the top door, top corner fender, and under the hood going towards the headlight. There is quite a bit of bolt for this fender. You have to pull the bumper top pad off to expose a few more bolts near the front nose of the fender and the other is also one bolt underneath the headlight. Once all the bolts are removed, you can then the fender removal. Most fenders can just be removed, but this F150 is a bit special. There is foam adhesion sprayed alongside the inner fender. You have to heat the fender alongside the door to loosen the foam. A heat gun is best to use, but you can also use a blow dryer. DO NOT hold the heat gun in one spot or you will damage the paint. Make sure to always keep the gun moving.
