Burnrite Outdoor Wood Stoves - How it Works

During the Home Show last weekend (Mt. Pleasant, Michigan), we featured a video playing on the TV that illustrated the flow and transfer of heat from the stove to your home heating systems. We'd like to share that video for anybody who may have missed us at the Home Show. In case you don't know how our stoves work, here's an explanation: The firebox is surrounded by a water jacket which captures the heat energy from the fire. The water (and heat) then take an express trip through insulated underground pex pipe from your stove to your home. Once inside, the water passes through a simple system of heat exchangers, pipes, and fittings to transfer that heat energy safely into your domestic hot water, forced-air furnace, zoned heating, and much more. In the video we walk you through 3 trips around the loop. The first trip shows how heat can bypass all the heating systems automatically when heat isn't needed. The second trip shows how heat is transferred to domestic hot water, and the third trip shows how heat is transferred to your forced-air furnace. If you have any questions, we'd love to answer them!
