Used by a good number of wonderful bass players over the many years the Jazz bass has been around, it's still one of the most iconic bass designs/models to this day. There have been inspired iterations, and there always will be (come on, it's a Leo Fender design) but there are things that get it right the first time around, and hence this JJB 300 becomes a great homage to the real deal. Don't fix it if it's not broken. That is how I choose to perceive this instrument. Not to say that it doesn't feel like its own thing. There are definitely appointments like the neck shape, the choice of pickups and the placement of the bridge pickup (slightly closer to the bridge) that make this one a lucrative instrument. All in all, a really fun bass guitar to play and take in for a song writing ride. Definitely on the inspiring side.
