The Proclaimers of the Resurrection are Salvation Army cadets who attended William Booth College 2011- 2013 in the United Kingdom Territory with the Republic of Ireland. They were commissioned (ordained) as Salvation Army officers on the 13th July 2013. This piece of music was specially composed for this session by Dean Jones, with words by Stephen Poxon. It is titled 'Risen King'. Each Salvation Army session, across the the world has their own song relating to their sessional name. It is a song that binds the session together and focuses on the name, in this instance Proclaimers of the Resurrection. Proclaimers of the Resurrection are also featured in a BBC 4 documentary 'God's Cadets'.
