In this lesson, I break down a 3-piece linear sextuplet fill that I created when I was writing material for my upcoming course ‘Advanced Sextuplet Chops’. This fill consists of various linear and paradiddle phrases placed into a 2 Bar Sextuplet Fill. There is an interesting simple cross-sticking pattern in the middle of the fill moving between left handed singles strokes on the Hi Hat and the floor tom. Apart from being a great sounding chop, this lick will improve your skills around the kit using sextuplet linear phrasing as well as develop your coordination inserting various kick drum notes within a pattern.
