Bayonetta 2 - Chapter XV Pure Platinum (∞ Climax with Rosa No Accessories or Umbran Climax)

I have mixed feelings about this Chapter. It can be pretty annoying when you go for Pure Platinum run. The combo medals are a bit ridiculous and Verse 1 and 3 are two of the dumbest things ever made. Also Fearless and Fairness are almost impossible for Jeanne to fight without Umbran Climax. Grace and Glory have one massive weakness. You can Afterburner kick them into a PPPPPK or PPPPK combo. They can't break out of air juggles. Rosa's Afterburner Kick is godlike. You need a high combo score against the Grace and Glory near the end. Wait for Witch Time or taunt them. I tried mowing them down with the axe and still came up short on points. You can often just overkill enemies and get by without Witch Time or taunts with Rosa. A few of the enemies in this game are bullshit but Verse 3 is the absolute worst thing in either Bayonetta game. For a game about precision dodging enemies sure have some stupid hitboxes. I would say overall the medals are more forgiving but some of the enemies and damage in this game are cheap as hell. I'll be the first person to admit that. It sucks, but I'm not even sure if Bayonetta could do these restrictions. She can't always wait for Witch Time or taunt. She would come up short on time or combo medals in a few spots. Jeanne would just be a nightmare with all the instant grabs.. She can't avoid a few special moves, and there's a few projectiles that just damage you through Moth Within.. Enemies also cancel their attacks or just instantly change directions so an otherwise perfect dodge fails to give Witch Time, and then they hit you out of your dodge instead. A lot of attacks just instantly hit before the animation actually appears, there's times where having your combo break is unavoidable and none of the combo medals seem to account for that fact. My biggest issues with this game is when you get a slowdown off a dodge and Witch Time just doesn't activate, and when enemies block and you just take damage. There's no attack, their often knocked back and you just suddenly have health missing. I have no idea what causes either of these things. I still make some mistakes, but this game has some of the cheapest fucking damage I have ever seen in my life. Like Jubileus Shock Phase levels of cheapness.. A lot of times I'm just sitting there wondering if I could have done anything about it. Oh and I thought the giant axe would be perfect for the giant beloved.. it knocks him around too much so it's hard to hit his orb. You can use it as a finisher when he's down, but it's probably better for the Fearless and Fairness. It smacks them around pretty good. Angels are hopeless against juggling, it's hit or miss against demons.
