I didn't see a lot of playthroughs of the original Darkstalkers on here, at least ones that aren't tool assisted, so I decided to run this game legitimately myself. The CPU opponents are inconsistent with their behavior especially the final boss Pyron and that can be a problem. One moment they're dumb as rocks, the next moment they're mad aggressive while reading your inputs, So you can't play the CPU like you would against real people. One trick I've found is to bait the CPU to jump at you and hit them out the air with a DP or something like it. Sometimes you can get away with just using a low hard kick. Basically you want to use anything that can score you a knockdown and then jump in with a chain combo that ends with a sweep as the CPU is getting up and you'll knock them down again, repeating the process. Note that there's like an 80% chance that the trick will work. As I've mentioned already, the CPU behavior is inconsistent. If the CPU is being aggressive, you're better off trying to turtle up until you find an opening. I'll be uploading more Darkstalkers runs when I get the chance, so look out of those.
