Hello beautiful people. In this video, I offer a side by side comparison of some of the most renowned 'quiet' whistles out there with session high and low D whistles too! I've listed ball-park decibel ranges for the first and second octaves (as this is subject to change, depending on how hard you blow) but hopefully this will help you choose a whistle at the right volume for you! *Note - the 'MK Pro Low D Whistle' is actually a James Dominic Low D Whistle - there was a notation error!* You'll notice that the 'sweetness' and 'softness' of the whistle makes a difference to how loud you FEEL the sound is, even if the decibel measurement seems similar. Although these differences may seem small, there's actually A LOT in a decibel!
