Devon Call-Change Bellringers celebrating Ryan Trout's & William Carew's birthday: Witheridge, N. Devon. January 2014. Footage shows rising the 8 bells in peal, a selection of call-change touches on these slightly tricky bells and concludes with lowering the 8 bells in peal. For those with an interest in Devon Call-Change bellringing. Witheridge had the best 8-bell competition team in Devon during the early 1960's. Under their captain, Tommy Kingdom, he guided them to four Devon Association 8-Bell titles (1960 at Berry Pomeroy, 1963 at Great Torrington, 1964 at Chagford and 1965 at South Molton) and three Tawstock Shield wins. A remarkable achievement considering the strength and opposition of 8-bell teams in Devon at the time. Other notable ringers that rang in this successful side were John Chappel, Jack Luxton, Jack Tooze and Ivan Spedutti. An upload of this peal of bells was specifically requested by Bellr1nger's loyal You-Tube supporter, Martin Hough. Ringers: Scott Adams, William Carew, Martin Crew, Suzanne Driscoll, Stephen Herniman, Christine Ley, Phillip Morse, Natasha Trout, Roger Trout, Ryan Trout, Graham Sharland and Paul Wright
