Breadcrumbs in Large Design Review Mode in SOLIDWORKS

We have great news for SOLIDWORKS users, and specifically for SOLIDWORKS users of large assemblies. Starting with SOLIDWORKS 2024, enhancements are being added to the software with every Service Pack. Some of the enhancements that we suggested were part of the top ten list for 3DEXPERIENCE. Let's look at the assembly in this example. It's a medium-sized assembly of about 4365 components, and it takes quite a bit of time to load. Let's imagine you want to open it instantaneously. Your go-to is to open the assembly in Large Design Mode. This is not a new functionality for SOLIDWORKS. We have done this before. But what is new is that it’s so much easier to navigate to the assembly because breadcrumbs become available in Large Design Mode. One of the reasons that we preferred breadcrumbs to using the Feature Manager Tree is that every time you select something in the feature manager SOLIDWORKS must go and find that component and scroll up and down the feature manager. It also needs to expand some assemblies or folders. For large assemblies, that can be very, very time-consuming.
