DIY release extension for Burton Step-On Snowboard Bindings

I made an extension cable for my Burton Step-On bindings. If you’re like me and can’t reach the lever or simply find it awkward you might find this useful. I could have simply drilled a hole into the lever and threaded the wire through that with a stopper on the other end. However I was concerned about the integrity of the plastic once there was a hole in it, and also with a lot of reps the wire may start to wear at the hole. I also could have drilled holes in the highback and used screw-on cable routers rather than zip-ties. But again, I was concerned about the integrity of the plastic. This way there is no modification to any of the parts and no issue with warranty whatsoever.
