This is an excellent example of why you shouldn't move a clock with the pendulum still in it! Clock was so off beat it wouldn't run. In this video I show adjusting the beat of a Mauthe mantle clock from the 1950s. If you have any questions or comments please ask. I had no experience working on Mauthe German clocks before, so I unknowingly (and painfully) took out the movement to look at what I thought was an escapement issue. To my surprise all I had to do is make a small adjustment, and I never had to take the movement out in the first place. That is where the video clips of the movement outside of the case come from. I added those clips into this video instead of making 2 separate videos, as the video's purpose was changed from taking out the movement, to fixing the beat. Another new video will be made about this clock. I have only one video on it, the day I got the clock and letting it chime. I don't know if I made a full video on it, maybe I did? Just realized that this clock has only been shown on this channel about once or twice, I think it deserves its own review now.
