This is a first time bloomer for me, got it November of last year. This is a worthwile orchid, large bloom, long lasting, and fragrant: 3 for 3. Here's how I grow it. LIGHT - Bright filtered light, north facing. I accidentally left the orchid in direct early to late morning sun a few times so the leaves are a bit burnt. FEED/FERTIZER - Fast grower so needs consistent feeding, I used Jack's classic, then Better gro better bloom when I saw buds in the sheath. Next year, I will use bloom booster a week or two earlier. WATER - likes to dry out between watering. FRAGRANCE - Very fragrant after the 3rd day, sophicated perfume smell is the best I can describe it. Sorry, I am no good in smell description, you just have to get one to find out. BLOOM - dark red to dark magneta, the color seems to get darker as the bud ages, fairly thick texture petals MEDIA - It came in spagnum moss, will repot in Spring with bark and clay pebbles
