A beloved tree dictated the plant palette in the backyard of these DIY avid gardeners. While their first objective was to stop soil erosion with a stacked rock wall, the accenting of that wall was the start of the creativity. Shade-loving and shade-tolerant plants comprise the majority of the plant palette. This garden's points of interest, however, don't stop with the plants.
