SL710 1/2 Inch Snap On Ratchet Rebuild

This video is to show the process to rebuild a vintage Snap On S710, 1/2 drive 32 tooth ratchet. This process resembles many other ratchets built, but without curveballs thrown. The concept on the how ratchet is built and used is much like others, but utilizing some slightly different components increasing the build strength of the ratchet. There is a piece pressed inside to both hold the cover plate on the backside and reduce the amount of play that the gear train has during operation. The ball for the pawl / switch assembly is slightly different as Snap On made the smart decision to phase out the little ball bearing. Overall the whole process simple to do, but you will need some basic tools to complete the reassembly and disassembly.
