Sampling food in Singapore. In this video one of my old college friends takes us to a local hawker centre in Singapore to try some local dishes. We experience some Singaporean desserts, which unlike the our western desserts contain some savoury items like sweetcorn. We tried a Durian flavoured ice Kachang. Ice Kachang is a ver well known iced dessert that is always found in the local hawker centres. They come in a wide variety of different flavours. In this episode we try the durian Ice Kachang. For those that don't know durian is a well know large fruit in the Far East and is famous for is strong bad smell (although I quite like the smell) We try soursop for the first time and it tasted great, Soursop us very similar looking to a durian or a jackfruit.
