017 BIG CANVAS! | 3ft x 4ft Acrylic Pour Painting Swipe | Abstract Art

This is the best acrylic pour I’ve ever done! I took on an acrylic pour painting challenge recently that really pushed me to uncomfortable limits. This 48” x 36” canvas was 4x bigger than my biggest pour prior to this video. I used Artist’s Loft premixed acrylic paint, and really needed to take my time with this swipe. Not having made anything this big before I wasn’t sure how the paint would react on the canvas. I wound up going with a light amount of paint on my first passes and added more acrylic paint to fill the colors that needed more attention. Once I got my first swipe out of the way, I was excited to see what was happening- The colors I wanted are the ones I got, and some really nice cell reactions happened as well! I tilted quite a bit more than I had hoped for on this pour, but in the end the result is by far the best I have ever had. This pour was definitely out of my normal comfort zone, but I am so happy that it turned out like it has.
