Join my hike up Mount Baldy, also known as Mount San Antonio, to the highest peak in Los Angeles County, California. See the video here:    • Mount Baldy, California Hiking Vlog -...   Vlog #14 We set off to begin the day with the quest to hike to the summit of Mt. Baldy. I parked at the Mount Baldy Ski Resort and walk over to the trailhead. I started up the trail and very soon see San Antonio Falls. I then continue up the Baldy Bowl trail until I reach the San Antonio Ski Hut. I take a break there for snacks to adjust to the altitude and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Then I continue hiking and begin to see snow on the ground. Along the way, I pay attention to my body to make sure I don't get altitude sickness. I climb several steep slopes and finally reach the summit. I made it up there on the perfect day in May and the views were absolutely incredible. I later head down the Devil's Backbone, which is the deadliest part of the hike. While hiking along the steep trail, we encounter our first wildlife. Hiding in the hillside above us was what I believe to be a Big Horn Sheep. We try not to scare it away before continuing on the trail. I finish this amazing hike and then take the ski lifts down to my car. This was truly an adventure that I will never forget!
