Climate change is threatening respiratory health. The changes in climate constitute a reality that, according to recent projections, is going to worsen in the coming years.1 Increasing air pollution and climate factors have an impact on respiratory health and mortality2 where climate change represents a massive direct threat to respiratory health by promoting or aggravating respiratory diseases or indirectly by increasing exposure to risk factors for respiratory diseases. 1 By 2100, ozone-related respiratory deaths are expected to increase by 15%.3 The threats are unavoidable for many people around the world. Pharmacists are well-positioned to play a unique and complementary role in an interprofessional collaborative care model to manage respiratory diseases.
