How I Made a 6 Foot Collage | Large Scale Collage Art Scaling an Image Sticking Paper to Wood Panel

Let's make the biggest collage I have ever made! I jumped in the deep end, creating this 6 foot collage! My goal for many years was to try large scale collage art but it never happened... until now! I first planned it out as a digital mockup to ensure the canvas scale would work. I then worked through the process of getting it ready for print. This involved scaling an image to sizes I haven't done before. Once delivered, I cut out all the pieces and got to work on adhering it to the board. I tried a few options as to how to stick paper to wood panel but settled on a few different adhesives in combination. I used a local print shop for the printing. To get images this large it needed to be done on an industrial sized printer. After a careful reflection, I'd advise other collage artists to scale their work slowly. I had to learn A LOT on the fly and this could have been prevented. I was on a timeline but I'd recommend taking your time. It was like learning to collage again, from scratch.
