Biggest Equilateral Triangle from A4 Paper | English | Fun with Maths

We are all familiar with triangles. We have made them and have learnt about them. But can we make exact equilateral triangle with a simple piece of A4 paper. These are triangles which have all sides equal. And we will also fold the largest possible equilateral triangle. First take a piece of paper and fold it in half along the length. Then we take any corner of the paper and fold it such that the corner lies on this middle line. And by doing this we have made our equilateral triangle. We just have to fold it along the side. It is in fact the largest possible equilateral triangle possible. So other equilateral triangles are also possible. When we mark the point where corner meets the middle line. And now if we join this point the two points on the width this is also an equilateral triangle. In all of this we have used the property joining any point of the that perpendicular bisector of a line to the two ends of line makes an isosceles triangle. Here by putting a corner on the middle line we ensure that we make isosceles triangle with side as width of the paper. Since the third side is the width all sides are equal.
