Back in the early 90’s, skate filmers were pretty scarce so if you were a still photographer you had to pull double duty much of the time- shooting stills and then filming whenever possible. This semi raw edit pulled off of an old HI8 video tape that was buried in a box of thousands of 411 tapes is from my trip to Copenhagen and Germany after the annual summer tour/contest series in Germany, London and Amsterdam. I was lucky enough to be asked to come along with the Flip/Birdhouse (partial) team for some demos. Rune Glifberg, Tom Penny, Andrew Reynolds, Paul Zitzer, Matt Beach Sami Harithi and Luke McKurdy were all along for the ride. You could feel the vibe that something special was happening. Tom was just simply on fire that year and blowing everyones mind on a global scale. I know there are more hi-8 tapes of footage from this trip buried somewhere but in the meantime this edit should give a little taste of what it was like to be there.
