This ice cream freezer and 1923 International Harvester Throttle-Governed McCormick-Deering Model M 1-1/2 HP rig was assembled about 1990 by the late Alex Chunn of Waco, Texas. It originally had a White Mountain freezer that lasted until about 2008 when Alex put a Country Freezer in its place. The trailer was initially used to haul a midget race car. The gearbox make and origins are unknown. The drive shaft is a section of chain-link fence top-rail. Alex, a longtime member of the Texas Early Day Tractor & Engine Association could be found making Ice Cream, Sherbet & Frozen Margaritas at various Texas Engine and Tractor shows. Today, Rusty Steed of Waco, Texas carries on the tradition by making Orange Sherbet at the Good Of The Land Fest at the Old Mill Pond Museum in Lindale, Texas.
