Intentional Communities Symposium 2024: Third Session/Book Launch

The Intentional Communities Research Group has been running symposia since 2014. Their 2024 Symposium became a part of the UK Communities Conference (held at Braziers Park, Oxfordshire) with live sessions every evening that were also streamed online to participants around the world. This is a recording of the third of those sessions which took place on Saturday July 20th. It morphed into a book launch for the newly published second volume of the Diggers and Dreamers Cohousing Review, with contributions from: – Martin Field took on the role of Lead Editor for the book; he is also employed within the regional Community-Led Housing 'Hub' based in the East Midlands and has written extensively about Cohousing – Ben Brown is a resident and founder of GraceWorks Gardens in Nottingham, a supportive co-housing and farm community; he documented the forming of GraceWorks, the chalenges of finding a site and of making it their own. – Penny Clark is a Diggers and Dreamers Editor as well as the author for the chapter exploring Cohousing in the context of housing associations and developers The session was chaired by Chris Coates who is a founder member of the Diggers & Dreamers team and who lives at Forgebank Cohousing Community. https://diggersanddreamers.org.uk/sho...
