Fox's THE CLEANING LADY was awarded the Best in TV Award at the inaugural CAPE Radiance Gala on March 21, 2023 at the Ebell in Los Angeles. Co-Showrunner, Creator and Executive Producer Miranda Kwok spoke on behalf of series team. Cast members Élodie Yung Martha Milan, Sean Lew, Sebastien and Valentino LaSalle and Faith Bryant attended alongside Kwok. The celebration spotlights Asian and Pacific Islander Women and Non-Binary artists, leaders and trailblazers in the entertainment industry. THE CLEANING LADY centers on a whip-smart Cambodian doctor Thony De La Rosa (Élodie Yung) who immigrates to the United States for medical treatment to save her ailing son (Sebastien and Valentino LeSalle). However, she soon discovers her path won't be as straightforward as she had hoped. As the system quickly fails her, pushing her into hiding, she resolves not to allow herself to be beaten down and marginalized, and becomes a cleaning lady for organized crime. Using her cunning and intelligence, Thony forges her own path in the criminal underworld, doing whatever she has to to survive.
