Timekeeping is managed by receiving Satellite signals much the same as the Seiko Astron watch range. The watch is forged in Citizens proprietary Super Titanium which 5 times more resistant to corrosion & scratches than regular 316L stainless steel. Of course, with the watch being made of Titanium, it's extremely light @ around 105 grams. That is about half the weight of a regular steel watch & with it being Titanium, it's also hypo-allergenic! Asides from exceptional timekeeping the watch has a perpetual calendar, alarm, and Chrono functions as well as world time for 40 cities. As an eco-drive model, the watch is powered by sunlight and has an 18 month power reserve once fully charged!
