Played by Mary Humphreys, English concertina and Anahata, melodeon. We got Rosamond's Pond from Chris Green's Book The Musick Meeting (http://www.themusickmeeting.co.uk), a selection of tunes from various manuscripts in the British Library - this one is originally from a publication in 1699 by dancing master Thomas Bray, and came with a ready made bass line very much like the one I'm using here. My Lords Cutts' Delight is from Henry Atkinson's manuscript of 1697 and can be found on the FARNE site: http://www.folknortheast.com Other than Rosamond's bass line the harmony parts, played by me in the first tune and by Mary in the second, are my own. Both tunes resurface under different names in later editions of Playford's Dancing Master, the first as "The French Ambassador" and the second as "St. Catherine".
