Scots Wha Hae

Scots Wha Hae is a setting of lyrics by Robert Burns imaging the speech given by Robert the Bruce before the Battle of Bannockburn in 1314. However, the music is the Scottish tune ‘Hey Tuttie Tatie’, which, according to tradition, was not only played by Bruce’s army at the same battle, but also by the Franco-Scots army at the siege of Orléans in 1429, in front of Joan of Arc.
