2024年8月2日。宮崎県日向市で、『2024第41回日向ひょっとこ夏祭り』が行われました。その前夜祭は、ひょっとこ踊りの個人戦です。その決勝と表彰式の模様をお届けします。 以下はウィキペディアからです。（ https://onl.sc/AGjCUJM ） 【概要】 明治時代末期に日向市塩見の永田地区で考案された「永田のひょっとこ踊り」（市指定無形民俗文化財）を伝統芸能として保存し、全国的にPRするために始められた祭り。1984年（昭和59年）より毎年開催しており、本祭りに日向市の中心市街地で行われるひょっとこ踊りパレードには、全国各地より2,000人を超える踊り愛好家が集まり、会場が赤い着物の色で真っ赤に染まる。前夜祭ではひょっとこ踊り個人戦が開かれ、踊りのキャラクターである「きつね」「おかめ」「ひょっとこ」及び「キッズ」部門において踊り技能を競う全国大会が行われている。 毎年祭り規模が増加し、近年観客数は7万人以上に達しているため、宮崎県を代表する夏祭りになっている。市民により運営されている祭りが交流人口の増大を促し、地域活性化に寄与していることから、2018年（平成30年）に一般財団法人地域活性化センターが表彰する「第22回ふるさとイベント大賞」の優秀賞を受賞した。 --------------------------------------------------------- The festival was started to preserve the "Nagata Hyottoko Dance" (designated as an intangible folk cultural asset by the city) that was created in the Nagata district of Shiomi, Hinata City, during the late Meiji period and promote it nationwide. During the main festival, the Hyottoko Dance Parade takes place in the central downtown area of Hinata City, attracting over 2,000 dance enthusiasts from all over the country, dyeing the venue in a sea of red kimono. On the eve of the festival, individual competitions for the Hyottoko Dance characters, "Kitsune," "Okame," "Hyottoko," and the "Kids" division are held, where dancers from all over the country compete in their dance skills. The festival has been growing in scale every year, and in recent years, the number of spectators has exceeded 70,000, making it a representative summer festival in Miyazaki Prefecture. The festival, operated by citizens, has contributed to an increase in exchange with other regions and revitalization of the local community.
