So as John Lennon sang many years ago in his hit Christmas song Happy Christmas War Is Over…So this is Christmas and what have you done, another year over and a new one just begun. It’s a shame that his prediction for world peace didn’t come true because as we go into 2024, we have big wars in Ukraine and the Middle East and smaller wars and threats of war all over the world. It seems that in 2023 the world went mad with its wars, woke cultures and crazy weak governments that have no idea how to rule or what their citizens really want. Thailand is not a perfect country by any means but in these uncertain times, I am glad that I am living here and not in some of the other countries that I have called home over the years such as the UK, USA and Australia. This year I went to Chainat to celebrate the new year with May and her family and as usual when visiting the less touristy areas of Thailand had a wonderful time.
