This video provides an overview of the HMDA final rule issued by the CFPB on October 15, 2015. This video was originally released on August 5, 2016, but was updated in August of 2019 to reflect amendments to HMDA made by the Economic Growth, Regulatory Relief, and Consumer Protect Act, and the interpretive and procedural rule issued by the Bureau in August 2018. This HMDA Webinar is current as of August 2019 and has not been updated to reflect final rules, guidance, or interpretations issued after that date. On April 16, 2020, the Bureau issued a final rule adjusting Regulation C’s institutional and transactional coverage thresholds for closed-end mortgage loans and open-end lines of credit.
