The Wagner fighters were hiding in a dugout and suprised the Ukrainian soldiers from close range as the firefight ensued. The Ukrainians pulled back a bit to get in to cover and responded with fire. The excact location of this firefight is unclear but it could be around Bakhmut. The men were part of the 67th brigade.
