4th Moharram Majlis-E-Azadari Under The Banner Of Al-Hilal Committee IKMT Pashkum Kargil Ladakh. IND

The observance of the 4th of Moharram under the banner of Al-Hilal Committee IKMT Pashkum at Imam Bargah Pashkum in Kargil, Ladakh, on July 10, 2024, marked a significant event in the Islamic calendar, corresponding to 4 Moharram 1446 Hijri. This day commemorates the martyrdom of Hazrat Muslim Ibn-e-Aqeel, the representative of Imam Hussain (a.s.) in Kufa (Iraq). Hazrat Muslim Ibn-e-Aqeel was sent to Kufa by Imam Hussain (a.s.) after receiving thousands of invitation letters from the people of Iraq, pledging their support. However, upon his arrival, the disloyalty of the people of Kufa led to his betrayal and subsequent martyrdom at the hands of the ruler appointed by Yazid. This tragic event is a poignant reminder of the sacrifices made in the pursuit of justice and loyalty in Islamic history. The program at Imam Bargah Pashkum began with the recitation of Marsiya, an elegiac poem mourning the martyrs of Karbala. Following this, a majlis (gathering) was held to commemorate the martyrdom of Imam Hussain (a.s.) and his companions, with a particular focus on Hazrat Muslim Ibn-e-Aqeel, the representative of Imam Hussain (a.s.) in Kufa. This solemn event served to honor their sacrifices and reflect on the lessons of loyalty and courage from their lives. After the recitation of Marsiya and the majlis, the program continued with the recitation of Nouhas, which are mournful poems lamenting the tragedy of Karbala and expressing grief for the martyrs. The event concluded with the recitation of Duas (supplications) and Benedictions, invoking blessings and seeking divine grace. This solemn observance served as a moment of reflection and spiritual connection for all participants. Pure Soul Media
